About Susan Johnson Always looking to explore new mediums, Susan J. Johnson found alcohol links as a way to express the fluidity and uniqueness of the mountains and nature. The fast drying alcohol inks are applied to non-porous surfaces such as ceramic tiles, Yupo paper, metal, etc. The translucent inks are layered and manipulated using blending solutions, compressed air and felt tools to create one-of-a-kind landscapes and florals. The finished pieces are mounted in specifically designed frames. Starting out in watercolor, Susan received classical art training in New York City and has used her abilities to create paintings and murals as decor in her homes over the past five decades. Now living in Greenville, SC, Susan has decided to expand her repertoire of mediums to include intricate paper collages and alcohol paintings.
