About Morgan Samuel Price A graduate of Ringling School of Art and Design, Morgan Samuel Price's career began as an illustrator for Hallmark Cards. She continued in the commercial art world as an art director for the News Herald in Lake County, OH. In 1972, Morgan pursued another direction as a fine artist in the small town of Ardmore, OK. Her journey as an artist is energized through her enjoyment of the visual beauty that surrounds each and every one of us in our everyday lives. Her over 40 year career has sustained her life as an artist through an overwhelming desire to elevate each moment with uplifting thought through visual enjoyment. Sharing her gifts through painting and teaching has brought endless rewards to all levels of her life. Morgan has exclaimed on more than one occasion, "It is not what you see, but how you see it. You don't need to go the the Grand Canyon to see beautiful. It is right outside your door." Her motivation to paint is energized by the light as it flows across the scene. As the artist, she sees light as a tool to explore the visual pleasure of the movement over objects. Capturing that movement sets the time of day. She believes retaining that choice of actual time creates the plausible illusion. That the painting is never about the subject. It is about the physical sensation of temperature.
