About Judy Barr Dodds Judy Dodds considers herself an artist by birth. She has always had a love affair with detail and color, and an infinite fascination with the human form, which has helped infuse her work with life and vitality. Impressionist in feel, the brushwork creates a liveliness on canvas. The pain is descriptive as well as animated, defining yet vibrant. She was educated at the University of Michigan, and received a degree in Fine Arts/Drawing and Painting, and subsequently received a Master's degree in medical illustration from the Medical College of Georgia. Dodds worked in the fields of cardiac, neuroanatomy and orthopedics, and has developed a keen sense of observation and communication, which translates to her current work as a form of dialog. As a private instructor at the Phenix City Art Center in Alabama and at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA.
