About Bill Farnsworth
As a 1980 graduate of The Ringling School of Art and Design, Bill Farnsworth has spent the last thirty years creating paintings for magazines, advertisements, children's books, and fine art portrait and landscape commissions.
Born in Norwalk, CT in 1958, Bill spent most of his life in New Milford, CT painting landscapes of the rural area while supporting his family through his growing illustration career.
His paintings have appeared in many national shows and private collections throughout the U.S. A nationally known illustrator, he has illustrated more than 50 children's books, winning awards and starred reviews in Publisher's Weekly.
A prolific gallery painter, Bill's work has garnered awards of excellence in Eastern Regional shows from the Oil Painters of America in 2006, 2007 and 2011 and the 2007 National show.
In 2010, he was awarded the Best in Show in the Cashiers Paint Out, and Signature Status from The American Society of Marine Artists. In 2011, he was awarded Signature Status from The Oil Painters of America.
